A preppy staple- the rope bracelet! I love these so much, and they always reminds me of vacations down on the Carolina shore. My cousins and I would buy these for two dollars at local markets, along with seashells, snow cones, and rope keychains.

I’ve been feeling very nautical lately. Which, of course, isn’t a very far stretch for me, but I felt that I ought to indulge in it tonight by sharing some of my favorite natuical things with you all!

Oh, the wonder of Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra. This fantastic 1945 film is every thing I wish my life could be- part musical, part romance, and entirely nautical. I’ll discuss my other favorite black and whites another day, though.

I’ve been drooling over these J. Crew pants since I saw them a few weeks ago- and now they’re on sale. It’s like they want me to own them!

And lastly, nautical themed nail polish. Adorable! The best way to accesorize with any outfit. These aren’t my nails, but they just might be after tomorrow’s nanny-a-thon (I’ll be nannying from 7:30 in the morning tomorrow until 10:00 at night…which means I should probably put down the laptop and get some sleep.)

How cute are these earrings? These would make the perfect ending to any outfit- white eyelet dress, cardigan and boat shoes, or whatever your heart desires! They’re perfect for my upcoming trip to the Outer Banks in North Carolina!

Good choice- you’ve stumbled upon anchors away. If you love boat shoes, gold bangles, cardigans, anything nautical, riding boots, and a good old fashioned cashmere sweater, this is the blog for you. Follow the misadventures of a college sophomore as she attempts to keep her messy-bun clad head held high as she juggles rowing for a college crew team, maintaining a 4.0, and occasionally sleeping-all while looking fabulous, of course.

So sit down, grab an iced tea, and prepare yourself for an adventure- its anchors away as we set off on it together!
